Bitcoin Is Cheap to Transact

Posted by Bitcoin Basics

Compared to most other forms of value transactions, Bitcoin is a bargain.

Credit card companies charge 2.5% to 3.5% for a transaction to the merchant, in addition to a monthly fee

Debit card transactions aren't charged, but there is overhead to subscribe to the network which provides the transactions, and you often have to pay bank fees or have a high balance in order to avoid fees, and you're subject to overdraft fees of $38+ if you have an accident with your bank account.

Cash on its own is cheap to transact, but taking the time to obtain it as well as ATM fees can make it expensive.

Bitcoin can be sent for a minimal fixed transaction fee, with open source, free software.
